A toboggan birthday party | Annabel

Annabel’s party celebrations were in full, exhilarating swing for her big 11th birthday last month! Her guests had the most exciting time going up and down the toboggan track at Cool Runnings here in Durbanville.

Mom, Hayley, outdid herself yet AGAIN with the party prep and superb decorations (take a look at her gorgeous 10th birthday party from last year)! She just never ceases to amaze me with her vision and execution of her wonderful ideas.

My children know how much I love owls… It’s no wonder I immediately fell in love with the beautifully detailed owl cake made by Hayley herself. I just couldn’t stop taking pictures of all the detail that she had managed to add. And let me add that Hayley’s home-baked cakes are always the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted!

Besides the cake being a massive success, the party vibe was something special. The adults even joined their kids on the tobogganing track!

When everyone was all tobogganed out, the group returned to the family home for a laid-back braai, slush puppies and more cake.

All in all, a most enjoyable day, and one that I’m sure Annabel and her friends will remember for a long time to come. Better yet, the family now has beautiful photos to revisit the fun!
