Goodbye 2021, hello birth photography in 2022!

The end of the year always gives me some time to reflect on the career that I have built, now already 12 years in the making. I love that by doing what I love, I gift parents the joy of reliving their experiences, over again throughout the years.

Many people spend so much on wedding photos, but share with me that they actually look at their birth photos much more often! I think it’s because these images aren’t simply a snapshot, they evoke the emotions of an experience, with each piece important to the whole - a family. A good birth photographer knows how to capture each powerful piece that makes up that whole.

Birth is a time when so much is going on: emotion; pain and even overwhelm. You take in what you can, but your own experience can be so powerful that there are details you miss. As your Birth Photographer, I capture those sitting in the waiting room eager to meet your baby, the moment your baby takes their first breath, the love in your eyes when you first connect with your newborn, your partner’s face when they share these moments with you…

Planning for 2022 leaves me feeling incredibly excited! I already have repeat clients and new clients booked for the new year. April bookings have now opened! After a tough two years of Covid-battles in the birth industry, it feels good to be heading back into the full swing of it all.

Bring on the babies, the memories and the joy of the journey!

May we all have an incredibly lighter year in 2022.

If you're expecting a new arrival in 2022, make sure to contact me early to secure your booking! As an exclusive, boutique service, I only take a few births every month so that I can offer the best of my time and talent to my clients. And if you're on the fence -- I get it! I'll be happy to walk you through the process and try my best to put your mind at ease. Even if I'm not the right Birth Photographer for your needs, I cannot express how invaluable it is to have these memories captured!
