Complicated Pregnancy but smooth C-Section | Anna-Mae

Four years ago, this tiny little angel, Anna-Mae, made her miraculous entry into the world.

First time mom-to-be, Anstea, faced multiple challenges: As an older mommy with a diagnosis of preeclampsia, her pregnancy was classified as high risk. Nerves were especially running high when the baby decided to make an early appearance!

Poor Anstea had to be put under during the c-section, since the spinal tap just wouldn’t take. Not only was this stressful in itself, but it also meant that she would miss the birth of little Anna-Mae. It makes me doubly pleased that I was there to document the arrival!

Even though the tiny Anna Mae had to spend some time in the NICU, thankfully this seemed to be the end of the difficult road, with mom and baby making a full recovery.

Finally, Anstea and hubby Mario could take their precious little girl home. Fast-forward to four years later… Today, Anna-Mae is a big sister!
