Baby shower shoot in lieu of a maternity session | Charné

A maternity session with a twist! Mommy Charné and her husband were not big on the idea of a maternity session… It’s just not everyone’s cup of tea! This is why I believe in offering flexibility to my Birth Photo Packages.

So, we chatted about swapping this session for something else that did get the couple excited, and decided that the baby shower would be a wonderful alternative to a maternity portrait session.

The baby shower took place at the incredible Babylonstoren, in an intimate setting in one of their private garden venues. The natural light and beautiful greenery made for some really stunning photos, not to mention the memories made that will last a lifetime!

There were gifts, some delightful baby shower activities and loads of connection and love. It was clear to see that the new baby will soon be welcomed into an excited and loving extended family! It brings to mind the well known expression, “It takes a village to raise a child”. This child’s village is waiting with bated breath and open hearts!
