And so they grow up…

Everytime I look through my archives of births, the photos just become more and more precious. I also notice a recurring theme when speaking to my clients: “I am just so glad that we did this”.

Marysol and I were just talking about this the other day - her oldest daughter turned 13 this year! Can you believe all these babies we photograph, grow up? I sometimes forget that, especially when I don’t see them for a while. They grow from precious pink newborns into functioning little toddlers, then school-goers in neat uniforms that are too big for them, then then then…

What I must add to this amazing insight is that when we do speak with our ongoing clients and see them again for family sessions or birthday parties, they more times than not comment on how grateful they are for choosing to having their birth photographed. They remark on how the images just get more and more valuable over time, as they watch their kids grow every year.

Birth is such an impactful, fleeting moment in time, that it really can only be measured once it is over. Make sure you don’t miss out on photographing your birth - you will never get that moment back!
