Special events photography in Cape Town

Did you know? Apart from specialising in birth photography, I document a limited amount of special events each year. My exclusive birth clients always get first preference for me to cover their birthdays, baptisms, family reunions, one-year-later sessions and so much more!

Not only do I take candid photos of your special event, but this is also a great opportunity to document your family’s incredible now, with beautiful family portraits before your guests arrive.

Photo sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home, or at any of the amazing outdoor or indoor locations that Cape Town has to offer, all depending on your unique needs and the type of event that you’re planning.

Annual family photo sessions:

I’m sure you know just how quickly time flies… With our full lives, it’s often challenging to remember to make time for a family photos (not just some cellphone selfies!). For this reason, many of my clients opt for an annual family photo session with me. I diarise these appointments in my calendar, taking it upon my own shoulders to make sure that you document the precious passing of time. These sessions can be done in the comfort of your own home, or anywhere on location in beautiful Cape Town.

Meet-the-family session:

Maybe I wasn’t available for your birth, or birth photography just isn’t your thing, but you do want to capture your child meeting his grandparents. Or the look on your children’s faces when the new baby arrives. You would also love some brand new in-hospital moments. I come within the first 48 hours of your baby’s birth or longer if needed (ie: getting out of NICU, waiting for family to arrive in town). I’m there for 30-45 minutes capturing the emotive moments of your baby meeting those most dear to you. This session is also available as an add-on to a birth or a maternity/newborn package. It’s a best-seller for good reason!

One-year-later session:

The baby year flies by. The days and especially the nights might be long but the actual year slips by before you know it. It’s only in looking back at how tiny they were, both at their newborn stage and at their first year that you really realise how fleeting this time is. How the details and the memories all matter. You blinked, it happened. Available either as part of your birth or maternity-newborn package, or book me closer to the time. Add a cake smash for some extra fun and whimsy!

Birthday parties:

There is something truly special about the continuity of having a professional photographer that every year documents your kids growing up. Not only is it special to capture the memories made at their birthday party, but also to keep up with beautiful family portraits, worthy of displaying around the house.
