2020 in review

It's finally here. The last month of 2020. First and foremost, let me start off on a note of genuine gratitude: Thank you for your warm support, words of encouragement and the opportunity to allow me to play a small part in your day-to-day existence. It has been an extremely challenging year, but there is a lot to be thankful for.

I think it's so important to look back at your year, and take a moment to reflect on everything that was good. Everything that enriched your life. Made you grow (even if that process was painful). After a year like this, it is probably even more important. I so often felt like everything was lost. Which means that I didn't take the time to really appreciate the good that was happening around me and in me.

Yes, it has been a painful and traumatic year. But along with that, there was enrichment and growth. That which does not kill us, makes us stronger, right?

So, as 2021 looms in the not-so-distant future, holding who-knows-what, join me in taking a moment to take stock. To reflect on both your highs and lows of 2020. To revel in your victories and mourn your losses. And to give yourself a pat on the back for making it through it all.

Next year, we try again.

Here are a few of my highlights from 2020:

The end of an era

A bitter-sweet moment, when the handover of Marysol's business to me was finally complete... It has been a wonderful, rollercoaster ride, and I've learnt so much from her, both as a seasoned professional birth photographer and just as a warm, lovely person.
